Police said that Gopalakrishnan was effective for evening patrol on Monday and he stopped the jeep by the check-assignment. He crossed the railway tracks and took a stroll which was his usual career. GRP personnel, who investigated the package, said that the body was lying in the space between the tracks and should have been hit by a speeding entourage. He could have noticed the train and stepped down from the tracks but the passing train could have dragged him prearranged, the police said.
