my Motorola Spirit mu21cv radio is not working can anyone help?

Question: my crystal set won't even turn on but before that It transmitted but could not receive on the other radios. it is on the same channel and jus naturale 'natural law' too. the red led lights up when i key the mic. everything seemed fine but I also cant receive from another radios.

Answer: Comprehend sure you are using fresh or fully charged batteries.
