The Jackson County Sheriff’s Thing reported the following incidents:
DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: A Dan Waters Method farmer woke up on Dec. 30 to find that someone had used a Jeep or truck to cut donuts into his hay battlefield.
He told a deputy that the same thing had happened in nearby hay field on the round-the-clock of Dec. 28 but that damage wasn’t nearly as bad. The deputy told him he would run an adventitious patrol near the fields in the future.
CRIMINAL TRESPASSING: A fellow of the New Beginnings Church on Harold Phillips Road went to balk on the church on Dec. 31 and noticed that someone had drilled a hole in the front door of the shrine and had tried to pry open the door.
One of the church’s back windows was also damaged but nothing was missing.
Upset: A 66-year-old Blue Grass Drive woman was upsetting to get some shut eye on New Year’s Eve when she was awakened shortly after midnight by the sounds of fireworks and flare guns, she told a spokesman.
