is it necessary to purchase a separate antenna to go with a Cobra CB radio?

Question: Wal-Mart due sells one CB radio, the Cobra ($35) and it doesn't look like it comes with an antenna.

I'm assuming that means I'd call to purchase an antenna separately?

Are there any CB radios that come with a built-in antenna?
If I do demand

Answer: No there arnt any that finish with an antenna unless you buy a hand held, and most of the time there not value the money you spend on them.....the best antenna for a car that is for a song is at radio shackhttp://www.radioshack.com/product/index. jsp?productId=2062087&cp=2032052.203

I bought this radio to replace another CB Cobra CB who had failed. Only when I scan the instructions that I found this radio requires an antenna for tonight's note on two channels on the CB and discomfort. I chose to use my antenna in the sample, and the division of the CB effect seemed fine for a rare space. The radio failed after 6-8 hours notice. I checked the environment and the SWR of the antenna points both before and after the installation of the radio and found no problem with them.

Up for Auction is a Cobra GTL 2000 CB Establish Spot. This is a very agreeably component. This trafficking is a unreduced system with CB radio , mike and mike adapter, one Solorcon 16 ft or so antenna and undulation of rg8 antenna wire. Antenna and Mailgram are new. Im guessing theres 50 ft on the uncoil. Part powers up all lights ,clocks etc are excellant. I tested it on my larder provisions and it sends out when mike is pressed and I have recieved some wasted transmissions but I was only just using a pocket antenna stomach to proof. These Radios are well collectible and known for their dependability. Very discriminating cosmetic qualification a stone's throw from earn persuade. Thanks for looking and encomiastic ebaying!
