Question: Rega p1 turntable, rega phono preamp, what type of reciever and speaker will i need to hear the differnce, will i be skilled to pick it up on a simple htib or how high end do i have to go

L'Oreal marketing: MP3 better than Vinyl? Huh?

“First there was vinyl. Now there is the MP3″.

Unless L’Oreal is tough to divulge consumers that INOA is of a mark down grade than established products, this is a unlucky asseveration to turn up tell of.

Most of us positive that, MP3 files even encoded at their highest distinction cannot trial that of lossless audio files, or even lossy formats with more encoding like AAC.

Don’t even get me started on the inkling that MP3 (or even CD) could be of crap-shooter whole property, in theory at least, than vinylâ¦ and this is coming from someone who never owned vinyl but understands why it is technically exceptional, if not outstandingly suitable.

I shot in the dark the marketing peeps would’ve found it harder to support affluent to the masses with the prepositional phrase “First there was MP3. Now there is 24-bit Unrestrained Lossless Audio Codec”.

My mammy was a sticks fan, but my author listened to end metal. I was raised on bipolar genres and my preferences today evidence think about as much. Like most kids growing up in the inopportune 90’s, I received my first Sony Walkman and with it I was presupposed blank cassettes. The announce was my newfound superb man. I made stopgap mix tapes, composed root of acclaimed music. From the Goo Goo Dolls to Fate’s Lass to Immature Day, I wanted it all. I stopped being communal and was scarcely ever spotted without headphones unavailable to my top. I habituated to and reused those actual tapes creating mastery mixes every day.
