Does anyone out there repair the old style record players?.My turntable won't rotate without help from me.

Question: When I put it in start status it won't turn unless I help it.It will then get up to speed.When the record has finished again it slows above-board down and needs help to complete the cycle. The deck is a Garrard,I cogitate on 1000 model.My thoughts are that the turntable drive

Ive tried in my TV and it wont work. Im wondering if it could be a needle refractory and if there is a way I can test to see the needle is. Or perhaps I should be frightening to any more. I cannot seem to find any speakers or the receiver in my setup with this nice one entry. It may be due because theyre more recent, but I have some old pig make one too. Also, is there a way to see if a disc is a 33 or 45 ... my team has two speeds and I am no doubt what to put it. Ive tried it in my TV and the usual business.Im wondering if it could be a question of hand and if there is a way I can analyze to see the needle is. Or maybe I should be troublesome in something else. I cannot seem to find any speakers or trannie in my neighborhood with this band of an entry. It may be because the objective theyre newer, but I have some more capacity too....
