Would you be able to use a Glass mount scanner antenna to transmit/receive with a UHF mobile radio?

Question: I am irksome to use a glass mount Scanner Antenna from radioshack to transmit and come into using a mobile uhf radio.This antenna is much cheaper than other profesional ascent antennas.
Any input is apreciated

Answer: No, you can not telegraph with that glass mount scanner antenna. You would need a dedicated UHF unstationary antenna.
