HDTV, Cable Box, Receiver with HDMI Cables?
Question: I'm not at all tech savvy and so far have had a forcefully time getting my HDTV set with with my receiver and Comcast cable box. I have a Sharpe HDTV that has two HDMI inputs (Input 4 and Input 5), I have a Sony receiver that has 3 HDMI inputs/outputs and the Comcast cable box
Answer: HDMI from the cable box to the TV is appropriate. For the sound, if your TV has an optical audio OUTPUT, you should run an optical audio cable from that to one of the optical audio INPUTS on your receiver.
