I have a Radio Shack HDTV receiver and HD antenna. Can I get HD channels while having regular Directv service?

Clarification: I have an HDTV and am looking to get HD announce channels through the Accurian HDTV receiver hoping to avoid paying for the Directv HD combination upgrade. Is it possible to have both regular Directv and this HD receiver calling together with my HDTV?

Answer: not convinced of your question.

first of all, there are no "HD channels" off-air, just broadcast channels that have HD text if/when sent by the originating broadcaster. most network affiliate stations (abc, cbs, nbc) are required to obsolete network
